Die Bahn hat mir tatsächlich eine Mail geschickt darüber, daß meine nächste Zugfahrt zwei Minuten kürzer werden wird. Da bin ich ja mal gespannt. Mir ist klar, daß solche Mails komplett automatisiert bei jeder Fahrplanänderung verschickt werden. Aber gerade bei der notorisch verspäteten DB sind Prognosen auf 120 Sekunden genau doch ein Witz. Mal sehen, wann und wie ich einen Tag nach der geplanten Sperrung des Kölner HBFs nach Berlin kommen werde.

• Between 1939 and 1941, the Works Progress Administration collaborated with the New York City Tax Department to collect photographs of most buildings in the five boroughs of New York City. In 2018, the NYC Municipal Archives completed the digitization and tagging of these photos. This website places them on a map.
• La Ville de Paris et la FNAC ont organisé au printemps 1970 un concours de photographie amateur visant à produire une couverture photographique exhaustive du territoire parisien, découpé en un quadrillage de 1755 carrés de 250 mètres de côté. 15 000 candidats se sont inscrits et 2 800 d’entre eux ont remis un dossier complet. Ces photographies ont ensuite été données à la Bibliothèque historique de la Ville de Paris.

• Interaktive Karte – Das deutsche Schienennetz hat die besten Zeiten hinter sich. Mitte der 50er-Jahre war es noch 14.000 Kilometer länger als heute. Wo Züge rollen und wo es einmal Bahnverbindungen gab – Jahr für Jahr von 1835 bis heute.
• Itiner-e aims to host the most detailed open digital dataset of roads in the entire Roman Empire. The data creation is a collaborative ongoing project edited by a scholarly community. Itiner-e allows you to view, query and download roads. Each road segment has a URI that allows it to be cited and linked by external resources. It also includes a route-finding tool to explore travel itineries and times in the ancient world.
• Das Deutschlandticket wird übrigens teurer, dafür wird Fliegen billiger. Oder die Airlines sacken sich die gesenkte Ticketsteuer einfach selbst ein, ohne sie an die Passagierigen weiterzugeben. Wobei auch Fußgänger diese Steuerausfälle mitzahlen.
